Something Old, Something New
Nothing says style more eloquently than an amalgamation of old and new.
Just as new furniture breathes life into an old building and enhances its age, similarly antique, age old furniture roots and anchors the newness of a building. I simply love the aesthetics that evolves from the combination of new and old together, side by side, complementing yet contrasting. Its makes me fall in love with otherwise soul-less sterile, new buildings and musty, old furniture.
The perfect room, if there is any such thing, should definitely have something old, something new, maybe something borrowed - like a new bestseller book from a dear old friend - and perhaps something blue too?
